Word to PDF
Convert Word documents (DOCX, DOC and ODT, up to 50 MB) to PDF in your browser, with their formatting, tables and pictures.
About This Tool
Word to PDF turns a .docx, .doc or .odt document into a PDF. The pages are laid out by a copy of LibreOffice that runs inside your browser, so formatting, tables, pictures, headers and footers come out as LibreOffice shows them, which can differ a little from Microsoft Word.
On your first visit the page downloads the converter, about 250 MB, and your browser keeps it for next time. A document can be up to 50 MB. A font the converter does not carry is replaced by a similar one, so a line or a page may break in a different place. To convert several documents, use "Batch Processing" further down the page.
All conversion happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private and secure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is .doc format supported?
Yes. The tool takes .docx, .doc and .odt files. If the full converter cannot start in your browser, a simpler one is used instead, and that one reads .docx only.
Are images preserved?
Yes. Pictures, tables, headers and footers are converted with the text. What can change is the typeface: a font the converter does not carry is replaced by a similar one, and lines or pages may then break elsewhere.
Is the conversion secure?
Yes. All processing happens in your browser and your documents never leave your device. In one case a font is fetched from another host: when the simpler fallback converter is in use and the document has Chinese, Japanese or Korean text.
