About This Tool
Excel to PDF turns a spreadsheet into a PDF document. It takes Excel workbooks (.xlsx and .xls), OpenDocument spreadsheets (.ods) and .csv files of up to 50 MB.
The file is opened by a spreadsheet engine that runs inside your browser and printed to PDF as an office program would print it. The tool has no page settings of its own: paper size, orientation and scaling are taken from the file, so a sheet too wide for its page runs on to further pages. The engine brings its own fonts, with stand-ins of the same width for Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New, Calibri and Cambria; text in any other font is set in a similar one, which can change how it fits its cells. To convert several files in one go, add them to the "Batch Processing" panel below the tool; each becomes its own PDF.
Your file is not uploaded: the conversion runs on your device. The engine is large, about 250 MB. It starts to download from this site when you open the page, a bar above the tool shows its progress, and your browser keeps it for later visits.
How to Use
Upload Excel File
Drag a spreadsheet onto the box labelled "Upload Excel File", or click it to choose one. It can be an .xlsx, .xls, .ods or .csv file; files over 50 MB are refused when you convert.
Convert the File
Click "Convert to PDF" and wait for the progress bar to finish. If the engine is still downloading, the conversion starts once it has arrived.
Download PDF
Click "Download" to save the PDF.
