Change Text Color
Recolour the dark (or light) parts of every page of a PDF, which changes the colour of ordinary text. The pages come back as pictures.
About This Tool
Change Text Color gives the text of a PDF a new colour by working on pictures of its pages. It does not read the text: it draws each page, then paints every pixel darker than a brightness threshold in the colour you chose. On a page of black print that changes the text, and with it the lines, table borders and dark parts of pictures.
Choose the colour, say whether the text is dark on a light background or light on a dark one, and move "Brightness Threshold" until the right parts change. Every page of the result is a picture: its text can no longer be selected, searched or copied, and links, bookmarks and form fields are not carried over. Keep your original file.
All processing happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will all text be changed?
No. Everything darker than the threshold is recoloured on every page: dark text, and also lines, borders and dark parts of pictures. Text lighter than the threshold stays as it is.
Can I change only specific text?
No. The tool works by brightness across the whole document; it cannot pick out a word, a paragraph or a page.
Will formatted text (bold, italic) be preserved?
The letters keep their shapes, but they stop being text: every page becomes a picture, so nothing can be selected, searched or copied, and links, bookmarks and form fields are gone.
