Header & Footer

Add headers and footers to PDF documents. Include page numbers, dates, and custom text.

About This Tool

Header & Footer prints a line of text at the top and at the bottom of your PDF pages. Each line has a left, a centre and a right part, and each part can hold your own text, the page number, the number of pages and today's date.

Set the size and colour of the text and its distance from the edge of the page, keep it to a range of pages, and leave the first page out when it is a cover. Text typed in Arabic is written in an Arabic typeface.

All processing happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have different headers on odd and even pages?

Yes, in two passes. Type odd in the page range and apply; then put the result through again with even in the range and the other text.

Can I include the current date?

Yes. Write {date} where the date should go. It becomes today's date when you apply, and stays that date in the file.

Can I skip the header/footer on certain pages?

Yes. Type the pages that should carry it in the page range, for example 2-10, or tick "Skip the first page (the cover)".
