Divide Pages
Cut every page of a PDF into two halves, or into a 2×2 or 3×3 grid; each part becomes a page of its own. Runs in your browser.
About This Tool
Divide Pages cuts every page of a PDF into equal parts, and each part becomes a page of its own. "Vertical" gives a left and a right half, "Horizontal" a top and a bottom half, and the two grids give four or nine parts.
It is made for scans that show two book pages side by side: under "Page order" you say whether the left or the right half comes first. All pages are divided the same way; you cannot pick pages or move the cut. Each part is the whole page with only its section showing. The rest is hidden, not removed, so do not use this to keep part of a page from a reader. Bookmarks, form fields that can be filled in and the document's properties are not carried over.
Everything happens in your browser; the file is not uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I divide into unequal sections?
Currently, divisions are equal. Use Crop PDF for custom sections.
What happens to content at division lines?
It is cut in two: a word or picture that crosses the line shows partly on one page and partly on the next. Nothing is deleted, though: each part is the full page with a smaller visible area. The cut is measured on the page as a reader shows it: a scan stored on its side is cut as it stands upright, and a cropped page is divided as it is cropped.
Can I divide specific pages only?
No. Every page is divided, and in the same way. To divide only some pages, make a file that holds only those with Extract Pages, divide it, and put the document together again with Merge PDF.
