Split PDF

Split PDF files into multiple documents. Extract specific pages or divide by page ranges.

About This Tool

Split PDF cuts one PDF into several smaller files.

There are six ways to cut it. "Extract by Page Range" makes one file for each range you type. "Every Page" makes one file per page. "Split N Parts" cuts the document into equal parts. "Bookmarks" starts a new file at each top-level bookmark. "Visual Select" makes a one-page file from each page you click. "Even/Odd Pages" makes one file of the odd pages, one of the even pages, or both files. The files can be downloaded one by one or together as a ZIP. Bookmarks are not carried into the parts; form fields stay fillable. For one file holding scattered pages, use Extract Pages.

All processing is done locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private and secure.

How to Use

  1. Upload Your PDF

Drag and drop your PDF file or click to browse and select the file you want to split.

  2. Select Split Method

Pick one of the six modes: page ranges, every page, a number of equal parts, at bookmarks, pages you click, or odd and even pages.

  3. Define Page Ranges

In "Extract by Page Range", type pages and ranges such as 1-5, 8, 10-15. Each one becomes its own file: three here. An empty field gives all pages as one file.

  4. Split and Download

Click "Split PDF". Download the files one by one, or click "Download All as ZIP".

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I split a PDF into individual pages?

Yes. Choose "Every Page": each page becomes a file of its own.

What happens to bookmarks when splitting?

They are not kept: the files that come out have no bookmarks. In "Bookmarks" mode the top-level bookmarks decide where each file begins, but the files themselves do not carry them.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Yes. When you add a protected file you are asked for its password. The files that come out are not password-protected.
