PDF Booklet Creator
Arrange the pages of a PDF two to a side in fold-and-staple (saddle-stitch) order, ready to print on both sides and fold.
About This Tool
PDF Booklet Creator places the pages of a PDF two to a sheet, in the order a folded booklet needs: the last page beside the first, the second beside the one before last, and so on. Print the result double-sided, fold the stack in half and staple it on the fold. If the number of pages is not a multiple of four, the missing places stay blank.
Choose the paper (A4, A3, Letter, Legal or Tabloid), its orientation, the gap around each page and the side the booklet opens from. "Turn each page" gives every page a quarter turn before it is fitted into its half of the sheet; a page saved with a rotation of its own, such as a scan stored sideways, is stood upright without it. Each page is drawn as it looks: text stays selectable, and what is filled into a form, comments, highlights and stamps are drawn too, though they are no longer fields or comments. Links and bookmarks are not carried over. To put four or more pages on a sheet in plain reading order, which saves paper but does not fold into a booklet, use N-Up PDF.
All processing happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is saddle-stitch binding?
Saddle-stitch is a binding method where folded sheets are nested and stapled through the fold.
Can I put more than two pages on a sheet?
Not here: a booklet has two pages on each side of a sheet, in folding order. For 4, 9 or 16 pages on a sheet in plain reading order, which saves paper but does not fold into a booklet, use N-Up PDF.
Can I preview the layout?
Only as a diagram. It shows the outer side of the first sheet, with the last page beside the first and each turned as you chose; it does not show your own pages. Download the result to see them.
