Crop PDF

Crop the pages of a PDF to the area you frame. What lies outside the frame is hidden, not deleted from the file.

About This Tool

Crop PDF narrows pages to the area you frame, to put wide margins out of view or to show one part of a page.

The page is shown with a frame that you drag and resize; there are no boxes for typing measurements. Tick "Apply to all pages" to crop every page like the one in front of you, or go from page to page and set a frame on each page you want cropped. Cropping only sets the visible area of a page: what lies outside is hidden, not removed, and a PDF editor can bring it back. Do not use it to hide confidential content.

All cropping happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

How to Use

  1. Upload Your PDF

Drag and drop your PDF file or click to select the document you want to crop.

  2. Define Crop Area

Drag the frame and its handles until it surrounds the part of the page you want to keep. The zoom buttons help with fine work.

  3. Apply to Pages

Tick "Apply to all pages" to crop every page like the one shown, or set the frame on each page you want cropped. Pages you do not open stay as they are.

  4. Crop and Download

    Click "Crop PDF", then "Download".

Use Cases

Remove Margins

Trim excessive margins from scanned documents or PDFs with large borders.

Focus Content

Crop to one part of the page, leaving headers, footers or sidebars out of view.

Same Trim on Every Page

Frame one page and tick "Apply to all pages". The same share of each page is kept, so pages of different sizes stay different.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does cropping permanently remove content?

No. Cropping only changes which part of the page is shown. What lies outside the frame stays in the file, and a PDF editor can bring it back. To take content out for good, use Find and Redact.

Can I crop different pages differently?

Yes, page by page: leave "Apply to all pages" unticked, go to each page and set its frame. A group of pages cannot be picked in one go.

Will cropping affect the text quality?

No. Nothing on the page is redrawn: text stays text and keeps its sharpness.
