Edit Bookmarks
Add, edit, and manage PDF bookmarks. Create navigation structure for your documents.
About This Tool
Edit Bookmarks shows the bookmarks of a PDF beside a preview of its pages, and lets you add to them, change them and rearrange them.
A new bookmark opens the page shown in the preview, at its top. Each bookmark has a title, a page, a colour and a style (normal, bold, italic or both). To move one, drag it to another place or onto another bookmark to make it a sub-item, or choose it and use the arrows above the list. Undo takes back a change, and Restore brings back the bookmarks the file came with. When you save, the list on screen replaces the bookmarks in the file; remove them all and the file is saved with none. A bookmark that was already in the file goes on doing what it did there, whether that is opening a place partway down a page at a certain zoom, a web address or some other action, unless you give it another page. A branch you leave closed is saved closed. Bookmarks cannot be imported from a file.
All editing happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Can I import bookmarks from a file?
No. The tool reads the bookmarks already in the PDF, and you add others by hand. To make bookmarks from the document's headings, use Auto Generate Bookmarks.
Will bookmarks work in all PDF readers?
Yes, bookmarks are a standard PDF feature supported by all major PDF readers.
