PDF to PowerPoint

Turn a PDF into a PowerPoint (PPTX) file: each page becomes a slide holding a picture of that page. The text is not editable. Runs in your browser.

About This Tool

PDF to PowerPoint makes a PPTX file with one slide for each page of the PDF. Each slide holds a picture of the page, filling the slide, so it looks like the page; the words on it cannot be edited, selected or searched in PowerPoint.

You choose how sharp the pictures are, from 72 to 300 DPI: a higher setting gives clearer slides and a bigger file. Every slide takes the shape of the PDF's last page, so in a PDF whose pages differ in shape the other pages run off the slide or leave part of it empty.

The conversion runs in your browser and the file is not uploaded. The first run also loads the converter, which is large.

How to Use

  1. Upload Your PDF

Drag and drop your PDF file or click to select it from your device.

  2. Choose Quality Settings

Select the image quality (DPI) for the slides. Higher DPI means better quality but larger file size.

  3. Convert and Download

Click "Convert to PowerPoint", then "Download" to save the PPTX file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the slides be editable?

No. Each slide holds one picture of the PDF page, so nothing on it can be changed. You can add your own text boxes, shapes and notes on top of it in PowerPoint.

What DPI should I choose?

Use 150 DPI for presentations displayed on screens. Use 300 DPI for printing or when you need the highest quality.

Can I convert multi-page PDFs?

Yes. Each page becomes one slide, in order. Every slide takes the shape of the last page, so the tool suits PDFs whose pages are all the same size.
