JSON to PDF

Turn JSON files into a PDF of neatly indented text in a monospace font, with optional line numbers. There is no syntax colouring.

About This Tool

JSON to PDF prints JSON files as indented text in a monospace font. Each file starts on a new page under its file name. The text is black; there is no syntax colouring.

The file is read as data and written out again with the indentation you choose (2, 4 or 8 spaces), so the PDF shows the content of the file, not its original spacing, and very large numbers (beyond about 16 digits) can lose their last digits. A file that is not valid JSON is refused. Long lines wrap, and long files continue over as many pages as they need.

All conversion happens in your browser, ensuring your data remains private.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is syntax highlighting included?

No. All of the JSON is printed in black in a monospace font; keys, values and types are not coloured. Only the line numbers and the file name are grey.

How is nested data handled?

Nested objects and arrays are properly indented for readability.

What about large JSON files?

Large files are paginated automatically across multiple pages.
