Grid Combine PDF
Put pages from several PDF files side by side on one sheet, in a grid of 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 with borders and spacing. The pages stay sharp and their text can still be selected.
About This Tool
Grid Combine places pages from several PDF files side by side on one sheet. Merge PDF puts files one after another and N-Up PDF lays out the pages of a single document; this tool takes several files and gives each page a cell in a grid.
Choose a grid of 1×2, 2×1, 2×2, 2×3, 3×2, 3×3 or 4×4. "Page Mode" starts on "First page only", which takes one page from each file; choose "All pages" to include every page. Each page is placed as it is, the way a reader shows it: it stays sharp at any size, its text can still be selected and searched, and the result weighs about what the pages do. What is filled into a form, and comments and stamps, are drawn as they look and are no longer fields or comments. Links and bookmarks are not carried over.
Set the page size (A4, Letter, Legal or A3), the orientation, the space between cells, a margin on or off, and a border with its colour. All processing happens locally in your browser.
How to Use
Upload PDF Files
Upload two or more PDF files you want to combine. You can rearrange them in your desired order.
Choose Grid Layout
Pick a grid under "Grid Layout": 2×2 puts four pages on a sheet, 3×3 nine. Under "Page Mode", choose "All pages" if every page of each file should go in; otherwise only the first page of each file is used.
Customize Appearance
Adjust settings like page size (A4, Letter), orientation, spacing between items, and borders.
Combine and Download
Click "Combine PDFs". The page says how many pages of how many files were placed, and on how many sheets; click "Download" to save the result. Change the layout or the order of the files and combine again whenever you like.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from N-Up?
N-Up takes pages from ONE PDF and puts them on a sheet. Grid Combine takes MULTIPLE DIFFERENT PDF files and puts them on a sheet.
How many files can I combine?
At least two. Up to 100 files can be added at a time, each up to 200 MB. A 4×4 sheet holds 16 pages; the rest go on further sheets. If one of the files cannot be opened, you are told which and no sheet is made, so that its place is not quietly given to the next file.
Can I add borders?
Yes, you can add borders around each PDF file and customize the border color.
