FB2 to PDF

Convert FictionBook e-books (.fb2 or .fb2.zip) to PDF in your browser, up to 20 at a time. Text stays selectable; the PDFs have no bookmarks.

About This Tool

FB2 to PDF converts FictionBook (FB2) e-books into PDF documents. FB2 is an XML-based e-book format that is widely used in Russia and Eastern Europe.

You can add .fb2 files and zipped .fb2.zip files, up to 20 in one selection. They are converted one after another, each into its own PDF. Each book is laid out on pages of 400 × 600 pt, about the size of an A5 sheet, with a base text size of 11 pt; there are no quality or page-size settings. Text stays text that can be selected and searched, and pictures are kept, but the PDFs have no bookmarks and their links cannot be clicked.

Your files are not uploaded: the conversion runs on your device. Each run first loads an engine of about 40 MB from this site, so even a small book takes a little while.

How to Use

  1. Upload FB2 Files

Drag and drop one or more .fb2 or .fb2.zip files, or click to select from your device.

  2. Check the List

The files you added are listed with their sizes; use the bin icon to take one out. There is nothing else to set: the tool has no quality or page-size options.

  3. Convert & Download

Click "Convert to PDF". A single file gives one "Download" button. Several files give one "Download" button each, in the same order as the list; the buttons do not show file names.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I convert multiple FB2 files at once?

Yes, up to 20 files in one selection. They are converted one after another, not at the same time, and each gets its own PDF and its own "Download" button; there is no combined download. If one of the files cannot be converted, the whole run stops with an error and none of the PDFs is offered.

Are .fb2.zip files supported?

Yes. The tool opens the archive and converts the first .fb2 file it finds inside. Other files in the same archive are ignored.

Is the formatting preserved?

In part. Text keeps its headings, emphasis and pictures and remains selectable, but each book is laid out afresh on pages of 400 × 600 pt with a base text size of 11 pt, and neither can be changed. The PDF has no bookmarks, and links inside the book cannot be clicked.
