Overview
Jabal Sara Utilities processes PDFs, images, audio, and documents locally in your browser. We do not operate an upload server for tool processing and we do not sell user data.
Local processing
When you use a tool or converter, files are read from your device into browser memory and processed with JavaScript and WebAssembly. Output files are generated locally and downloaded by you.
Requests to other services
Your files are never sent anywhere. A few tools do fetch a font from a third-party server when you use them, and that server can see your IP address and the time of the request. Converting an e-book or a Word document that contains Chinese, Japanese or Korean text downloads a font for it from raw.githubusercontent.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net or unpkg.com, and choosing the Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Thai or Devanagari font in Text to PDF downloads that font from raw.githack.com. The fonts for Arabic, for accented Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, and for Simplified Chinese are served by this site itself, and so are the engine and the language data that OCR uses. Nothing about the contents of your document is transmitted, but the request itself reveals that you used that feature. Tools you do not open make no such request.
Storage on your device
A few things are kept in your browser so the site works the way you left it: the theme and language you chose, whether the sidebar is collapsed, the tools you starred and the tools you opened recently (which tools, never which files), and any form layout you save yourself in Form Creator, together with the name of the PDF it was made for. The built-in PDF viewer used by the edit, sign and form tools keeps its own settings and remembers the page and zoom of documents opened in it, identified by a fingerprint rather than by name. So that they are not downloaded twice, the processing engines and any fonts that were fetched are cached as well. Your files and their contents are never stored. Earlier versions kept the names of your ten most recent downloads; that list is no longer kept, and it is deleted from your browser the next time you open the site. You can clear all of this in your browser's settings at any time.
Cookies and analytics
Jabal Sara Utilities does not require an account and sets no cookies. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which adds its Web Analytics script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) to each page. That script reports to cloudflareinsights.com which page was opened, the page that linked to it, how quickly it loaded, and the kind of browser and device, so that we can see how the site is used and where it is slow. It uses no cookies and no other storage on your device, does not follow you to other sites, and never sees your files or their names. The application's own code contains no analytics, tracking or error reporting.
