Rasterize PDF
Turn the pages of a PDF into PNG, JPEG or WebP pictures, or into a new PDF made of pictures, at 72, 96, 150, 300 or 600 DPI.
About This Tool
Rasterize PDF draws each page of a PDF as a picture. Save the pictures as PNG, JPEG or WebP, or choose PDF to get a new PDF in which every page is a JPEG picture of the original. In that PDF the text can no longer be selected or searched, and links, form fields and bookmarks are gone.
Choose one of five resolutions from 72 to 600 DPI and, if you want only some pages, a page range. One PDF is converted at a time. "Quality" sets how much detail JPEG, WebP and the pictures in a PDF keep, from 10% to 100%. "Background Color" is the colour of the paper: it shows wherever the page paints nothing of its own, and a scan or a page with its own white background covers it. Under "Rendering engine", "Ghostscript" draws the pages with a second engine, for a file the standard one draws badly; it is downloaded the first time it is used (about 16 MB) and writes pictures only, not a PDF.
All processing happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Frequently Asked Questions
What DPI should I use?
72 DPI for screen, 150 DPI for general use, 300 DPI for print quality.
Which format is best?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly and gives the largest files. JPEG and WebP are smaller and lose a little detail, as much as the "Quality" slider allows. PNG and WebP can have nothing behind the page: type transparent as the background colour. PDF gives one file with a JPEG picture on each page.
Can I convert specific pages?
Yes, specify page ranges like "1-5, 8, 10-15" to convert only those pages; the words odd and even are read too.
